Along with our work, work mentality, many of us have started to believe that we really do not need much sleep. Some state they produce maximally with 4 hours of sleep, not true. Although some people will do fine on a few hours of sleep for a while, eventually the body rebels. A lack of sleep has been connected to multiple health issues. Below are some important rules regarding sleep. The more you follow, the better you will feel, and your productivity will increase.
- Minimize caffeine and do not use it in the afternoon or evening
- Go to sleep at the same time every night based on the time you intend to wake up. Plan on 8 hours at best or at least 7 hours of sleep
- Sleep with no lights on and before climbing into bed, turn all devices off
